Soft cheese is probably our most popular category. This category includes some of the most beloved cheeses in our store, like the ever-popular Brie and Camembert, as well as our incredible selection of double and triple cream cheeses like Delice de Bourgogne.

Within soft cheeses you can find those made of cow's milk, a great variety of chevres (goat milk) and even some sheep’s milk chesses! They are soft because they retain a high percentage of water and/or butter fats in their pastes. Cheese makers employ the use of various molds and yeasts to attain delicious flavors and desirable soft textures.

Cheeses in this category are often spread on bread or crackers to be served as snacks. Most soft cheeses should be used within a few days of purchase--they spoil faster than firmer cheeses.
