Moreau Naudet
Stephane Moreau was a young and very talented winemaker who had achieved something close to star status in wine circles. Since he had taken over his father’s vineyard in 1991, Stephane was producing wines that were the pure expression of the grape variety and terroir. He’s been on the hunt for terroir – and has headed back to the old ways to find it. He’s been helped by a large number of old vines in some fantastic locations.
But hand-tended vineyards, relatively late picking, organic practices, natural yeasts, and a long time on lees are some of the methods that have produced the very finest fruit possible for an impressive result: fine, racy classic Chablis. We will miss this talented winemaker and we can assure you the Domaine is in good hands with his wife Virginie.
