Elodie Roy
Growing up in the Haut Cote de Beaune, Elodie spent her summers and afternoons helping with her family's vineyards. Her parents wanted a better life for her than that of a winemaker, and with high school grades she went to law school.
During her time she still returned to the vineyards and helped when she could, but her parents always made sure her studies came first. She graduated and began working for a Parisian bank, where she lasted six months. The pull of the vineyard life too strong she returned to Burgundy with the hope of joining her family's vineyard, but he parent's were't ready to hand over yet. This took her to work with Anne Gros, one of Burgundy's most respected and sought after vignerons, who has had a direct influence on her style.
Elodie Roy is making some of the most pure and elegant wines in Burgundy, and although she has only just started working her family's vines she's definately one to look out for.
