Eau de Vie

Eau de vie, also known in French as the Water of Life, encompasses spirits like whisky, brandy, marc - and even gin and vodka. Created by the pure distillation of fermented fruit (like pears or apricots) in a neutral brandy, most of them skipping the barrel, making for clear spirits with pure, intense flavours.

Best enjoyed neat as a digestif, in cocktails, or even in cooking - black forest cakes and fondue are all the better thanks to the presence of eau de vie!
