Like the Bonnes Mares the wood treatment, and especially the menthol element, completely dominates the underlying fruit plus there is an odd note of tar. More interesting are the sleek and intense middle weight plus flavors that possess evident muscle and power on the grippy, raspy and youthfully austere finale. This may come together but I doubt that it will ever be especially refined. Allen Meadows
