“Very concentrated with coffee oak and clove-like spices, some cinnamon, earth and bark. Inviting and beguiling. Mainly black fruit here with crème de mûre and cassis. Rich coffee and tea-like edge to the tight grained tannins, with some earthy minerals. The freshness of the vintage, but without any lack of depth or ripeness, and a palate-coating creaminess already developing. Rich, long finish. Very good indeed, as usual from this small but perfectly formed estate.”
