Champagne Charles Orban takes Gold
Charles Orban Blanc de Noirs Brut NV has taken out gold at the New Zealand International Wine Show for 2018. This is New Zealand's largest wine competition, with over 2,000 wines being entered and chaired by Bob Campbell, one of NZ’s foremost wine educators.
The history of the Orban family in wine-making dates back to the 18th century in the village of Troissy, where 331 hectares of vines sat. It was in the 1950’s that Charles Orban decided to produce his own champagne and sell it under his own name. Since then, production has dramatically increased and the name sits with the top champagne producers. The house now belongs to a champagne family that has preserved the Orban family tradition.
A great achievement for a special producer of ours. Ready to taste this gold medal winning Champagne?
